Center "Kuća svetlosti" (House of Light) traditionally, for the second time, marked the International Day of the blind and visually impaired people on October 15, 2014., in the hall of the Serbian Chamberof Commerce in the presence of senior government, diplomatic and other guests.

The ceremony began by addressing of the acting president of Serbian Chamberof CommerceMilivojeMiletic, then a speech founder and president of the Center "House of Light" prof. Dr. Zorica Savković. She pointed out that Belgrade has no kindergartens, preschools or organized support for blind children. For these reasons, came out the idea for the project "Building institution for the rehabilitation and care of blind children and youth" House of Light - 2014 ", and with the help of good people, we have already made the first steps in creating the conditions for the construction of the first European" Houses with light theme / fun parks of darkness ", which will be located in Belgrade. It will be in one place home, and safe haven for all blind children. The goal is to get these kids educated and prepared for independent living and doing business. The goal is they will be full members of society, and not a social category.

We plan to make the first theme park of darkness in Europe, where all the children that nature gave eyesight will be able to feel what the children who do not see feel.

In our mission, we attracted the foreign attention, so yesterday, in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Centre "House of Light" and Soravia group from Austria and our friends from Vienna showed a gesture of humanity by funding conceptual design "House of light with theme park in the dark.

Thanksgivings for the help in realization of the projectand gifts - handmade by blind children, were given to Zeljko Sertic, Minister of Economy, Milivoje Miletic, acting president of the Chamber of Commerce, Branislav Popovic, Acting director of the Directorate of Land and construction of Belgrade, Dragisa Vujovic, acting director of the PUC Infostan, Branko Milovanovic, Executive Director of the postal network PU Post Serbia. Thanksgivingswere also given to the mayors of Belgrade and Novi Sad, the representatives of the city administration and Milorad Mandic Manda, director of children's theater "Bosko Buha”. The principle of the school in Zemun were handed a gift voucher for fitting sensorimotor rooms.

The program continued with a children's song. Choir of 11 children of school "Veljko Ramadanovic" joined Mr. Manda, who together them, sang the song "Beyond the Rainbow".
